Final Stats
RALEIGH, N.C. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's tennis team lost its sixth consecutive match to begin the regular as the Hawks fell to North Carolina Central University, 6-0, at the NCCU Tennis Courts on Saturday afternoon.
UMES (0-6, 0-3 MEAC) was swept in both singles and doubles play. The Hawks had two different players pick up point in singles as sophomores Wayne Heath and Wirlen Elame each lost 6-1, 6-0. The match against the Eagles proved to be the first for Elame as a Hawk.
UMES returns to action on Sunday, March 18, where the Hawks meet Norfolk State University for two matches beginning at 1 p.m.
