SERAUS SHINES AS MEAC BOWLER OF THE WEEK

NORFOLK, Va.- Senior Hawks bowler Thashaina Seraus (Oranjestad, Aruba) anchored her team to an 8-2 record and a fifth place finish at the UPIKE Orange and Black in Dayton, Ohio. Her hard work paid off with a MEAC Bowler of the Week award, as announced by the conference today.

Seraus averaged a 219.4 pinfall during individuals on Saturday, earned an 80% spare fill and a 95% single pin spare fill. She bowled a high of 245 in the first game as the team went 5-0 during the individual rounds. In Baker, she served as the anchor in victories over Ohio State, Northern Kentucky, and Lindsey Wilson.

The Hawks return to the lanes October 30th in the first round of the New Jersey Jamboree.
