HAWKS BOWLING SIGNEE TO APPEAR ON TELEVISED TEEN MASTERS EVENT

Dec. 17, 2015

Teen Masters Overview l PBA World Series Information

RENO, Nev. - Before she enrolls in classes on the Eastern Shore, one Hawk is already making big waves in her sport. Class of 2020 signee Brigitte Jacobs is preparing to head to Reno, Nevada and compete in the Teen Masters Grand Championship at the National Bowling Stadium.

One of the premier amateur tournaments in bowling, the Teen Masters is an ideal place for bowlers of adolescent ages to showcase their talents. Jacobs already won the women's tournament in Las Vegas this past summer, allowing her the opportunity to take on the men's champion in the Grand Championship on Saturday.

This weekend's title bout will begin at 3:30 p.m. (PT) as part of the Professional Bowlers Association (PBA) Challenge Series Finals during that organization's World Series. A taping of the proceedings will be aired on ESPN January 24th.

Jacobs is a native of Freeport, Illinois. She was a persistent state finalist and conference MVP at Freeport High School while also participating in the Travel Scholarship League, based out of the nearby city of Rockford, home to Hawks All-American and alumnus Megan Buja.

The Illinois native will be joining Hawk Nation next fall along with fellow Class of 2020 member Carla Hicks, as well as nine returners.
