VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.-- The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Men's Tennis Team began its Hampton Roads swing in Virginia Beach to take on the Virginia Wesleyan Marlins. The club lost, 6-0 and dropped to 0-4 overall.

Virginia Wesleyan was nearly flawless as the Hawks scored one point in the match. Newcomer Michael Cha (Seoul, Korea) recorded the point in his singles match against Graham Wilson (6-1, 6-0). The rest of the Hawks fell in straight sets (6-0, 6-0).

Tomorrow, the Hawks conclude their road trip in Hampton to face the Hampton Pirates in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) play. First-serve is booked for noon.
