Hawks Head to Nashville in Regular Season Finale

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The Maryland Eastern Shore bowling team will get one more chance to sharpen their skills ahead of postseason play, when they travel to Nashville, Tennessee this weekend for the Columbia 300 Music City Classic. This three day tournament, hosted by Vanderbilt, will feature 30 other teams and consist of Baker, Traditional and Bracket Play.

It all kicks at 10:40a.m. Eastern time with six Baker matches consisting of five games each. There will be a morning session of three matches with the three afternoon matches separated by a 75 minute intermission. Saturday will feature six traditional games, beginning at 10:30 in the morning and following a similar format to Friday.

On Sunday, there will a best-of-seven Baker bracket play championship round beginning at 9:30 in the morning. Pinfall from the first two days will determine seeding.

22 of the top 25 teams in the country will be present in Nashville. The Hawks currently rank in 11th according to the latest NTCA poll. All of the top five teams, including top seeded Nebraska and the host #3 Commodores will also be competing.

Delaware State, Norfolk State, and Kutztown are the only three ranked teams not featured in the tournament.  

After Music City the Hawks will head to Hampton Roads for the 2016 MEAC Championships, where the team will look to defend their conference title for the fourth year in a row.
