NASHVILLE, Tennessee - The final poll by the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) places the Maryland Eastern Shore bowling team in 12th place at season's end. The NTCA released the final poll this past Monday.

Maryland Eastern Shore completed the 2015-16 campaign with a strong semifinal appearance at the United States Bowling Congress' Intercollegiate Team Championships. Along with their 71-41 record overall this season, the Hawks took home a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Northern Division crown, and numerous individual honors including head coach Kayla Bandy earning MEAC Coach of the Year honors and senior Thashaina Seraus (Oranjestad, Aruba) earning MEAC Bowler of the Year as well as being named runner-up for the International Bowling Media Association's National Bowler of the Year.

The NCAA Champion Stephen F. Austin took the top spot in the 25 team poll. Other MEAC schools making the cut were North Carolina A&T (8th), Delaware State (11th) and Norfolk State (21st).

Largely remaining intact the Hawks will return to the lanes this fall.
