Jan. 23, 2017 READING, Pennsylvania - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore suffered through a nightmare of a day in the final round of the Kutztown Invitational dropping all three best-of-seven Baker matches in bracket play and finished sixth overall.
The Hawks, who finished the event 9-6 overall, fell to Delaware State (4-3), Fairleigh Dickinson (4-1) and St. Francis College of Pennsylvania (4-3).
Sophomore Jacqueline Rhoda (Portage, Indiana) did make the All-Tournament team after finishing 211.17 in overall average - good enough for ninth place.
Thashaina Seraus (Orangestad, Aruba) finished 18th overall with a 204.
The Hawks will next return to action Jan. 27-19 at the Prairie View A&M Invitational in Arlington, Texas.
