GREENSBORO, North Carolina — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore won its final Traditional match to take the No. 3 seed at the Stalling Invitational on Sunday morning. Then after taking down No. 2 seeded Mount St. Mary's in their first bracket match 4-1, they dropped a hotly-contested Baker battle to host North Carolina A&T State, 4-3, to finish the event in second place.
The sophomore class starred in Traditional play over the weekend with
Chloe Skurzynski (Carlisle, Pennsylvania) averaged a 209.0 over six games to finish in 8
th place as an individual.
Isabel Hughes (Raleigh, North Carolina) finished 15th as an individual with a 201.17 average over six games.
The Hawks (43-7) topped Texas Southern 941-814 to open the morning.
Senior
Brigitte Jacobs (Freeport, Illinois) and
Cayla Hicks (Salem, Virginia) finished 22 and 23 respectively with averages of 195.0.
Eastern Shore returns to action No. 22-24 as they host the Eastern Shore Hawk Classic at Millsboro Lanes in Millsboro, Delaware.
