MILLSBORO, Delaware — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore went 2-3 on the opening day of competition at the Eastern Shore Hawks Classic Friday (Nov. 22) and stand in seventh place at its host event.
The Hawks (45-10) opening the day with a 1,028-926 loss to Duquesne in Baker competition. A big win against Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference rival North Carolina A&T State came next, 981-866.
Eastern Shore picked up a 958-905 win against Tulane in the third match of the day. The squad ended the day with losses to Delaware State (1,070-1,030) and Arkansas State (956-936).
Play resumes Saturday morning with five Traditional matches.
