ARLINGTON, Texas —No. 8 (National Tenpins Coaches Association) University of Maryland Eastern Shore went 3-2 in traditional play at the Prairie View Invitational at Bowl IRTC in Arlington Texas on Saturday (Feb. 2) and moved up to 8
th place with one qualifying match to go before bracket play.
The Hawks (41-28, 8-2 MEAC) opened the day with a 926-917 win against NTCA No. 7 Fairleigh Dickinson. They dropped the next match 918-901 to No. 5 Sam Houston State before falling in in an 864-864 tiebreaker to Prairie View A&M.
The Shore rebounded to take the final two matches of the day. They topped No. 6 Tulane 989-962 and No. 10 Stephen F. Austin 987-846.
