CONROE, Texas — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore women's golf team placed sixth at the Southland Championship this week (April 18-20) at Panorama Golf Club.

Augusta won the championship with a score of 902. Incarnate Word's Ellen Nicholas was the tournament's medalist with a score of 218 (+2).

Freshman Arria Gross and senior Briahna Willis had the top two scores for the Hawks over three rounds of play. Gross finished with a 255, while Willis shot a 273.

Eastern Shore will play their next event on April 25-27 in the WIGF National Women's Golf Championship in Stockbridge, Georgia.
