Three Hawks named All-MEAC Bowling

Heading into the 2025 MEAC Bowling Championship, a trio of Hawks have earned All-MEAC honors.

Mariana Santos Rivero, Gabriella Ochoa Hubbard and Brooke Driver were each named to All-MEAC postseason teams on Thursday night.

Santos Rivero earned second team All-MEAC for the second straight year. The junior began the year as a 2024-25 MEAC Preseason All-Conference selection. Across 668 frames bowled, Santos Rivero has maintained an average of 20.00 per frame while racking up an 84.8% on over-all-fill percentage. She also recorded a strike percentage of 48.4% while notching a 70.5% all spare conversion percentage and 88.6% single pin spare conversion percentage.

Ochoa Hubbard was also named second team All-MEAC after being named third team All-MEAC last season.Ā The graduate student has maintained a 42.7% strike percentage with a 68.2% all spare conversion percentage and 83.9% single pin spare conversion percentage. Her average score per frame is 19.18 with an over-all-fill percentage of 81.8% over 794 frames.

Driver earned third team All-MEAC honors as a graduate student. She has averaged 18.41 per frame over 774 frames bowled this year. Her single pin spare conversion percentage sits at 82.3% while she's maintained a 66.8% on all spare conversion percentage. Her strike percentage is 38.4% with an over-all-fill percentage of 79.6%

UMES begins the MEAC Championship tournament Friday in Raleigh, North Carolina, as the No. 2 seed.
