"Nick has done some very impressive things in his broadcast career and he will be a good fit for UMES," said G. Stan Bradley, Assistant Director of Athletics for External Affairs. "We plan to broadcast more sports this season besides men's and women's basketball and Nick's versatility will pay off ."
Anastos replaced Ben Wagner, who was with the school for one year. He left to take over the play-by-play of the Buffalo Bisons, a Triple-A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians in Buffalo, N.Y.
"I am excited to be here and thrilled over the opportunity. I am anxious to get the season underway, There's nothing quite like D-I athletics. The atmosphere is special. I am enthusiastic about traveling again as well. This should be a great season," said Anastos.
