Marshall Cropper enters his seventh season as the second head coach of the Maryland Eastern Shore Men's Golf team after taking over in 2012.

In 2016-17, Cropper guided the Hawks to a second-place finish at the Virginia State Trojan Fall Classic where Blair Waters was selected to the All-Tournament Team. Additionally, he witnessed Demarkis Cooper honored after a top five finish at the inaugural Maryland Eastern Shore Collegiate Challenge.

During the 2015-16 campaign, Coach Cropper guided the program to its first tournament victory as a NCAA Division I program at the SWAC/SIAC Collegiate Challenge. Later on, he steered the club to another tournament win at the Virginia State Trojan Fall Classic.

He has served as the coordinator of Maryland Eastern Shore Golf Academy since its founding in 2004. At the time, Maryland Eastern Shore was one of just 18 universities, and the only HBCU, to have an accredited PGA Golf Management Program. He manages the day-to-day operations of the academy, including regulating the outdoor driving range, indoor facilities and maintenance equipment for the Academy.

The Golf Academy serves as a place for general purpose to golfers of all ages. The academy assists golfers in the beginning stages to pro level while providing instructs to faculty, staff, students, and surrounding communities at all times.

He also plans fundraiser activities, including the annual Maryland Eastern Shore Art Shell Celebrity Golf Tournament at Great Hope Golf Course. Furthermore, Cropper has taught introduction golf classes to the student body since the return of the program.

Previous to coming back to Princess Anne, Cropper worked for the D.C. Department of Environmental Services, D.C. Department of Recreation and most recently the MJC Management and Consulting Services.

Cropper graduated from Maryland Eastern Shore (then Maryland State College) in 1967 with a degree in physical education after playing as a double-sport athlete in Princess Anne. He played tight end for the football team, earning All-CIAA honors in 1966, and also played on the baseball team at first base and right field.

He earned his Master's Degree in 1975 from National Graduate University and was inducted into the Maryland Eastern Shore Athletics Hall of Fame in 1982.
