Khadijah Haaris has been working in the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Athletics Department since August of 2023. She spent her first year as the department's business manager and now serves as the Assistant Athletics Director of Business Operations. She also serves as the department administrator for the sport of softball.
Haaris came to UMES with over five years of experience in sports operations on the collegiate and professional levels.
Haaris received her Bachelor of Science in Sport Management and Marketing from Kennesaw State University. During her years at KSU, she began her journey in athletics and worked closely with the Director of Basketball Operations for Women's Basketball.
Haaris relocated to Houston, Texas to attend Texas Southern University where she recently earned her Master of Business Administration. During her time in Houston, she spent three seasons in marketing and events for the Houston Texans. While working for the Texans, Haaris was mainly responsible for optimizing all fan and event experiences, the coordination and execution of several community outreach and partner development opportunities, and assisting in home game management for over 70,000 attendees.
Her stint in Houston also allowed for Haaris to volunteer for several ProCamps for NFL and NBA players and the chance to collaborate in the execution of the 2023 HBCU All-Star Game.
Haaris is originally from Georgia and is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
