University of Maryland Eastern Shore announces national search for next head baseball coach
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has officially begun the search for the next head baseball coach
"We are proceeding with transitions to the leadership of the baseball program. We extend our sincere appreciation to former head coach Danny Acosta for his tireless efforts and dedication over the past three seasons," said Vice President of Athletics Tara A. Owens. "The University remains steadfast in its commitment to the success of its student-athletes—on the field, in the classroom, and within the community. A national search for the program’s next head baseball coach will commence immediately."

ABOUT HAWK ATHLETICS
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Hawks compete as a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level intercollegiate athletic program. The university fields teams in 15 sports: women's volleyball, women's bowling, men's and women's golf, men's and women's cross country, men's and women's basketball, men's and women's indoor track & field, softball, baseball, and men's and women's outdoor track and field. The UMES volleyball, bowling, basketball, softball, and cross country teams compete in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). UMES men's volleyball, golf and baseball currently play as members of the Northeast Conference (NEC).
