Baltimore, MD - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Fighting Hawk Tennis team took on in-state rivals Loyola College in a non-conference match-up on Thursday afternoon. The greyhounds got the better of the Hawks 7-0.

Number one singles player Kishan Sudusinghe took on Loyola's Scott Gannon and nearly pulled the upset. In a very competitive match Gannon got the win 6-3, 6-2. At the #2 singles outing Christopher Clarke also played well before falling to Sean Wall, 6-2, 6-1.

In doubles action Clarke and Sudusinghe fell to Gannon and Ben Epstein, 8-2. In the only other doubles contest of the day Andrew Graham and Harold Fowler were topped 8-1.

UMES' next match is also in Baltimore, as they take on Coppin State University on April 13, 2006.
