PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Hawk Hysteria will be in full force on October 12th beginning at 7:00 pm as the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) will feature a volleyball match vs. Hampton University with the basketball season kick-off starting immediately afterwards.

The event will feature the red hot Hawk Volleyball team, who are currently on a 13 match winning streak, taking on Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) opponent Hampton University. After the conclusion of volleyball, the celebration formerly known as Midnight Madness will kick off. It will feature an alumni/faculty/staff basketball game, performances by the UMES Cheerleaders, The UMES Diamonds, Ambiance Dance Troupe and D.J. Blade of Force One Productions.

The main event will start after that with introductions and scrimmages for both the men and women's basketball teams.

Of course the evening of Hawk Hysteria wouldn't be complete without giveaways for the kids, t-shirts, autograph sessions with all three teams and an appearance by Magic 98.9 doing a live remote.

UMES also plans a special introduction of the King Bird himself; a newly made over Harry the Hawk!

All events are free and open to the public.
