PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Cheerleaders, in conjunction with Encore! Cheer and Dance Championships (ECDC), will host the third annual ECDC Groovy Open Championships at noon, Saturday, March 27, at the W.P. Hytche Athletic Center. There will be several cheer teams from Maryland, Delaware and New Jersey in attendance in addition to a special performance by the UMES Diamonds.

This year's theme is "Lost in the 70's," and fans are encouraged to dress in their most outrageous 1970's wardrobe as there will be various contests and prizes.

Tickets are $5 for UMES students (with a valid Hawk ID), $10 for ages 6-12 and 65+ and $15 for spectators over the age of 13. Children under the age of five are free. Please note that payment for tickets cannot be made with your Hawk ID.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the UMES Hawk Cheerleaders.
