ROBINSON, YOUNG NAMED UMES PRMC ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

Sept. 28, 2015 PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Junior middle blocker Haley Robinson (Honolulu, Hawaii) and junior golfer Bryce Young (Stevensville, Md.) were named the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) Athletes of the Week for the week ending on September 28th. Both athletes are achieving the award for the first time this year.

Robinson led the team in kills with 11 during their MEAC opener against Howard on Friday evening. Also, she finished third on the team in digs with seven and added a block in the match. On the season, the Hawaiian native is third on the squad in total blocks (24) and fourth in kills (72).

At the SWAC/SIAC Collegiate Challenge, Young finished third overall and named to the All-Tournament team. Later in the week, Young posted a 71 (-1) at the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Golf Invitational and placed tied for fifth in the event. In his efforts, the Maryland product entered himself into the school's record book as his 71 is tied for the fifth lowest round in the program's history.

Volleyball will play Norfolk State on Friday, October 2 and golf will be back in action October 26 as they travel to Petersburg, Va.
