Jan. 19, 2016 PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Men's Basketball senior guard Devin Martin (Baltimore, Md.) and freshman bowler Danielle August (Mililani, Hawaii) were named the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) Athletes of the Week for the week ending January 17th. Devin is being named for the fourth time this while Danielle is being named for the first time this year.

Martin helped lead the Hawks to a 69-65 win over Morgan State last Monday (Jan. 11). He finished the game with 21 points including 16 in the second half, six rebounds and three assists.

August and the Lady Hawks competed in the Mid-Winter Invitational, finishing in 9th place after going 5-8 overall. After a three day competition she averaged 205.2 in individuals and helped her team win four Baker games bowling in the third and fourth positions.

Martin and the Hawks are back home Saturday Jan. 23 and face Bethune-Cookman, while August and the squad will travel to Arlington, Texas to compete in the Prairie View A&M Invitational Jan.29-31.
