PRINCESS ANNE, Md.- Junior Men's Basketball forwardBakari Copeland(Decator, Ga.) and senior Women's Basketball centerTaryana Kelly(North Brunswick, N.J.) were named the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) Athletes of the Week for the week ending March 5.

Last Thursday (March 3), Copeland helped the Hawks defeat Morgan State 80-71. He had a game-high 23 points, six rebounds and four assists in the victory.

That same night, Kelly notched her third double-double of the season in a 50-42 victory over Morgan State. She had a season-high 16 boards and 15 points in 34 minutes of action.

Copeland and the Hawks play tomorrow (March 8) in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Basketball Tournament against Morgan State. Game-time is set for approximately 4 p.m.

Kelly and the Lady Hawks play today (March 7) in the MEAC Opening Round against Howard. Tipoff is scheduled for approximately 3 p.m.
