MEN'S BASKETBALL
Last Monday (Dec. 26), Bakari Copeland (Decatur, Ga.) earned Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) and College Sports Madness (CSM) Player of the Week honors after his performance at the Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational. He scored a game-high 27 points in the victory over UTEP.
Tonight (Jan. 2), the Hawks return home to meet Valley Forge. Game-time is set for 6 p.m. inside the William P. Hytche Athletic Center.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
On Dec. 30, Coach Fred Batchelor and the women's basketball team dropped their nonconference finale at USC Upstate, 76-63, inside the Hodge Center. Guard Moengaroa Subritzky (Auckland, New Zealand) paved the way, posting a double-double with 14 points and a team-high 11 boards.
On Dec. 7, the Hawks begin league play as they face North Carolina Central in Durham. Game-time is scheduled for 2 p.m.
MEN'S GOLF
On Dec. 27, Coach Marshall Cropper and the men's golf team unveiled its 2017 spring schedule, which features two championship events.
On Feb. 25-26, Eastern Shore opens the season in Tallahassee, Fla. as they will compete in the Florida A&M (FAMU) Spring Invitational.
WOMEN'S TENNIS
Last Thursday (Dec. 29), Coach Walter Woods and the women's tennis team revealed their 2017 spring schedule, which includes three home matches at the Hawks Tennis Complex.
On Feb. 25, Eastern Shore opens the 2017 campaign in the Big Apple as they meet St. Francis Brooklyn.
