Box Score

PITTSBURGH, Pennsylvania - Maryland Eastern Shore senior Jordan Martin (Atlanta, Georgia) enjoyed a 3-for-4 day at the plate with a run scored, but the Hawks were overwhelmed by the Panthers, 20-1, at Charles L. Cost Field in Pittsburgh Wednesday. The loss drops The Shore's record to 10-35 for the season.

Junior Jamison Trower (Chesterfield, Virginia) earned an RBI single in the first, and sophomore Dominic DeBlasie (Tilton, New Hampshire) also collected a base hit in the contest.

Eastern Shore led early thanks to Trower's RBI, but Pitt responded eagerly with three runs in the second inning, followed by a seven spot in the third that helped to put the game away.

Pitt climbs back to the .500 mark for the year at 21-21.

Maryland Eastern Shore returns home to face the Norfolk State Spartans and conclude the 2017 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) season. There will be a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m. and a Sunday game at noon.
