BOWLING
Last Wednesday (June 28), the University of Maryland Eastern Shore Women's Bowling Team received academic honors from the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) after the 11 member team cumulated a GPA of 3.56 for the academic school year.
"I am proud of our student-athletes' efforts in the classroom." Hawks coach Kayla Bandy said. "We value the academic experience at Maryland Eastern Shore and know that the classroom is our priority."
Coach Bandy and the Hawks look to repeat as conference champions while making another run at a NCAA Championship.
GENERAL
MID-EASTERN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE
On June 19, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) honored Maryland Eastern Shore's senior track & field runner Khalil Rmidi Kinini (Malaga, Spain) as its Male Student-Athlete of the Year.
On June 23, conference announced its 2017 Commissioner's All-Academic Team where 72 Hawks were recognized for their academic success.

On June 26, the league announced Thashaina Seraus (Oranjestad, Aruba) as its MEAC Female Student-Athlete of the Year.
