Hawks Return Home for Clash with Delaware

Eastern Shore Begins Busy Weekend at the Hytche Center

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team is set to play their third home game of the season against the University of Delaware Blue Hens on Friday night (Nov. 30). Tip will be at 7 p.m.

The Hawks (1-6) lost their last time out in the New York City borough of Queens versus St. John's 85-64. Eastern Shore saw guard Ryan Andino (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) drop 24 points on eight 3-pointers versus the Red Storm and forward Tyler Jones (Atlantic City, NJ) chipped in a season high 18 points off the bench.

Friday's opponent from one state to the north is coming into the game with a 5-2 record. Delaware's two losses came to Maryland and USC Greensboro.

The Blue Hens are shooting 39.2 percent as a team from behind the arc this season. Forward Eric Carter is leading the team in both points and rebounds with 18.6 points per game and 8.7 rebounds per game.

Following Friday's game, the Hawks will be on the road to Greenville, NC to face East Carolina on Sunday (Dec. 2). After that Maryland Eastern Shore will be off for a week and a half before traveling to Pittsburgh to play Duquesne (Dec. 13) and the University of Pittsburgh (Dec. 15).
