PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team will play its second game of the season on Saturday (Nov. 10) versus North Carolina State University at noon inside PNC Arena.
The Hawks (0-1) fell in their season opener against Georgetown 68-53 on Tuesday (Nov. 6). Eastern Shore got strong performances from guard Bryan Urrutia and forward AJ Cheeseman in their debuts with the program. Cheeseman led all scorers with 19 as Urrutia had a strong all-round game with 13 points, five assists, five rebounds and five steals. The Hawks also forced 19 Hoya turnovers in the game.
Tuesday night also saw the return of Dontae Caldwell and Ryan Andino to the lineup after they missed the entire 2017-18 season with injury. Caldwell led the team in rebounding with eight, while Andino struggled shooting 2-11 from the field.
As for the NC State Wolfpack, they opened their season with a 105-55 win versus Mount St. Mary's. NC State had 12 steals in the contest and held Mount St. Mary's to 32.8 percent shooting from the field. Senior guard Torin Dorn led the Wolfpack with a career-high 28 points.

After Saturday's game, the Hawks will have their home opener against Longwood on Tuesday, Nov. 13, with a 7 p.m. tip. Following that game, Eastern Shore will head to the southwest to face North Texas on Nov. 17.
