PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team will be back in action Thursday (Dec. 13) at Duquesne University after eleven days since their last game. Tip for the game will be at 7 p.m. and the game will broadcast on ESPN+.
The Hawks (1-8) last time out was a 70-47 loss to East Carolina on Dec. 2. AJ Cheeseman (Snellville, GA) and Montraz Oliver (Princess Anne, MD) were tied for the team lead in points that game with 14 apiece.
That game also saw junior point guard Bryan Urrutia (Chihuahua, Mexico) play just one minute as he nurses a lower body injury. He will be a game-time decision for Thursday's game.
The Duquesne Dukes (6-2) are coming off a dramatic 80-71 win over Longwood University on Dec. 9. The Dukes trailed by as many as 18 in the game before coming back to win. Longwood was one of two opponents that Duquesne and Maryland Eastern Shore have in common this season. The other is the University of Pittsburgh, who the Hawks will face on Saturday (Dec. 15).
Top performers for the Dukes this season have been Eric Williams, Jr. and Sincere Carry. Williams is averaging 14.5 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game while shooting 43.2 percent from behind the three point line. Carry has ran the show all year for Duquesne and averages 10 points and 5.6 assists per game.

After Saturday's game versus Pittsburgh, the Hawks will stay on the road to face Winthrop and American next week on Dec. 20 and Dec. 22 respectively.
