Hawks Face NC Central on Saturday

The Shore Look for Their First Conference Win

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team is looking for its first MEAC win on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 12) as they face the North Carolina Central University Eagles. Tip will be at approximately 4 p.m.

The Hawks (2-15, 0-2 MEAC) are coming off a 79-39 loss to Howard. Maryland Eastern Shore scored a season low in points for a half with 12 in the first half versus the Bison.

Guard Ahmad Frost (Cincinnati, OH) has led Eastern Shore in scoring during conference play. The junior is the only Hawks player to score in double figures in each of the team's first two games versus MEAC opponents.

The Eagles (6-9, 1-0 MEAC) are coming off a season in 2017-18 where the won the MEAC Tournament and earned a trip to the NCAA Tournament. NC Central won their lone conference game this season on Jan. 5 against Bethune-Cookman 68-59.

They were led in that game by All-MEAC center Raasean Davis who finished with 16 points and 12 rebounds. Davis is averaging 16.7 points and 8.7 rebounds per game this season for the Eagles.
