PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore volleyball team will be in North Carolina this weekend to face North Carolina A&T on Friday (Oct. 18) and North Carolina Central on Sunday (Oct. 20).
The Hawks (8-13, 3-3 MEAC) have won their last two matches and three of their last four. Their victory versus Delaware State on Tuesday (Oct. 15) tied them with Coppin State for second in the MEAC Northern division.
Friday's opponent, NC A&T, is undefeated in conference play. They are led by junior Edie Brewer, who is in the top 10 in the conference in kills and assists. The Hawks' opponent on Sunday, North Carolina Central, are 2-4 in MEAC matches. Sophomore Celene Morris leads the Eagles and as she is in the top five in the conference in assists.
Maryland Eastern Shore will return home after their road trip to face Florida A&M (Oct. 25) and Bethune-Cookman (Oct. 27).
