PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore volleyball team will face the Delaware State University Hornets on Friday (Nov. 1) as the Hawks enter the stretch run of the 2019 season.
The Hawks (9-16, 4-6 MEAC) sit in fifth place in the MEAC northern division. DSU sits one match ahead of Eastern Shore in the standings. The top four teams in the division advance to the MEAC Tournament at Howard University Nov. 22-24.
Friday's match will be the second time these two teams face each other this season. The Shore captured round one on Oct. 15 taking the match in four sets. Junior Tatjana Trifkovic (Belgrade, Serbia) had a career-high 18 kills in the first matchup.
Maryland Eastern Shore will face Norfolk State and Howard on the road on Nov. 8 and 10 respectively following their match this weekend.
