Hawks Take Their Game to the West Coast

Eastern Shore and Stanford Face Off For the First Time in History

PALO ALTO, California — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team will face of with the Stanford University Cardinal on Tuesday night (Nov. 19) in the squad's furthest road game of the season.

The Hawks (0-4) dropped their last game to the Morehead State University Eagles 76-53 on Nov. 16. Senior AJ Cheeseman (Snellville, Ga.) had his first double-double in a Hawks uniform in the game as he had 10 points and 11 rebounds. Redshirt senior Ahmad Frost (Cincinnati, Ohio) had his season-high 13 points in the contest to lead the squad in scoring.

Tuesday's opponent, Stanford, will be the second Power 5 opponent for Eastern Shore this season. The first was Penn State on Nov. 5.

Maryland Eastern Shore will travel to Oklahoma after their game with Stanford for a Thursday night matchup (Nov. 21). The Shore will host their first home game of the season against Wofford on Nov. 26 following their game with the Sooners.
