Hawks Face the Aggies to Close North Carolina Road Trip

Eastern Shore Will Play Three of Their Last Four at Home

GREENSBORO, North Carolina The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team will face the North Carolina A&T State University Aggies on Monday evening (Feb. 11). Tip will be at 7:30 p.m.

The Hawks (4-22, 2-9 MEAC) fell to North Carolina Central 78-53 on Feb. 9. Maryland Eastern Shore shot 60 percent in the first half, but shot only 33.3 percent in the second half and the Eagles pulled away.

Three Hawks finished in double figures in the contest led by Ryan Andino's (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) 13 points. Bryan Urrutia (Chihuahua, Mexico) and Gabriel Gyamfi (Brampton, ON, Canada) each had 10 points.

North Carolina A&T (12-11, 7-2 MEAC) is coming off an 82-52 win over Delaware State. The Aggies lead the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in scoring defense as they allow just 54.3 points per game.

Monday's game will be the second time that the Hawks and Aggies face off this season. A&T won the first matchup 67-58 on Jan. 14 in Princess Anne. Aggies center Ibrahim Sylla had a career game against the Hawks that day as he finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds.
