Maryland Eastern Shore Baseball opens at home versus Fordham

Hawks, Rams to meet in four games at Perdue this weekend

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — Following eight straight games on the road, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore baseball team opens at home this weekend against the Fordham Rams.

Games will be played at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium Salisbury. The series begins at 2:30 p.m. Friday (March 1) opener, followed by a noon doubleheader Saturday (March 2) and a noon Sunday (March 3) finale.

Tickets cost $6 per day and live stats and live video will be available.

This is the first time Maryland Eastern Shore and Fordham will meet on the baseball diamond. The Rams are the winningest program in NCAA history, with 4,481 wins dating back to 1859.

The Hawks started the season with a 1-7 road trip. After winning the opener versus Longwood, they dropped the remaining three games in Virginia before being swept by Eastern Kentucky the following week.

Fordham is 2-5 on the year. After suffering a sweep at Texas A&M the Rams managed a split with North Florida last weekend.
