PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — For the first time, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore baseball team will meet the Wofford Terriers in a pair of midweek games. The series starts with a 6 p.m. Tuesday (March 19) matchup, followed by a game 5 p.m. Wednesday (March 20). Both games will be played at Russell C. King Field in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
ESPN+ and the SOCON Digital Network will televise the contests, and Wofford will also offer live stats.
The Hawks will head down to the Palmetto State looking to stop a six game losing streak. Over the weekend, they fell in a sweep to Coppin State as the Eagles outscored them 38-9. On the other side, Wofford is 14-7 on the year and has won seven of their last eight.
This week's series serves as The Shore's spring break trip. A victory here would be the first for baseball on spring break since 2012, when the Hawks defeated N.C. Central by a 7-1 score.
