CAMBRIDGE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore women's tennis team fell to Monmouth University 6-1 on Wednesday afternoon (April 17) at the Bay Country Racquet Club in Cambridge.

The Hawks lone victory came in the No. 1 singles match as sophomore Sarah Adewumi (Phoenix, AZ) won 2-6, 6-0, 10-8 in a thrilling three set match. Wednesday also served as senior day for Sarah Smith (Huntingtown, MD) and Tiara Barnes (Washington, D.C.).

Maryland Eastern Shore will conclude their season on Saturday (April 20) at George Mason.
