CAMBRIDGE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore women's tennis team dropped their home opener on Tuesday (April 2) to Howard University 7-0 at the Bay Country Racquet Club in Cambridge.
The Hawks were without their No. 1 singles player Sarah Adewumi (Phoenix, AZ) and the Bison took advantage of her absence in the sweep.
Tuesday's conference match came after Eastern Shore fell to Longwood 7-0 over the weekend (March 30) in their third nonconference match of the season.
Maryland Eastern Shore will face Bowie State, Loyola University (MD) and Towson this weekend (April 5-7) in three matches outside of MEAC play.
