Hawks Go For Second Straight against the Aggies

Eastern Shore Plays Two Games in Three Days

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team will look to get their second straight win on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 11) as they face the North Carolina A&T Aggies inside the William P. Hytche Athletic Center.

The Hawks (2-14, 1-0 MEAC) won their last game 78-66 on Jan. 4 against Howard. Senior AJ Cheeseman (Snellville, Georgia) scored 17 points in that game, which was his season high, and junior Ty Gibson (Brooklyn, New York) had 14 points for the Hawks.

After winning their first game of the conference season for the first time since 2017, Maryland Eastern Shore welcomes the Aggies (5-11, 1-0 MEAC) into town after they won the last time out versus Florida A&M in overtime. N.C. A&T and Eastern Shore are two of five teams in MEAC without a conference loss.

The matchup can be heard locally on Fox Sports 960 AM WTGM and online at EasternShoreHawks.com. Pregame coverage begins with Will DeBoer on The Shore Sports Network after the conclusion of the women's game between the Hawks and Aggies.

Following Saturday's game, the Hawks will be back in action on Monday (Jan. 13) against North Carolina Central.
