GREENSBORO, North Carolina — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team will play their second game in three days in the Tar Heel State on Monday night (Feb. 24) as the take on the North Carolina A&T Aggies at 7:30 p.m.
The Hawks (5-22, 4-8 MEAC) dropped their last game 74-55 to the North Carolina Central University Eagles on Saturday (Feb. 22). NCCU led wire-to-wire as they celebrated senior day and controlled the Hawks throughout the contest. Redshirt senior Ahmad Frost (Cincinnati, Ohio) had a team-high 12 points in the matchup. Local product Kevon Voyles (Berlin, Maryland) finished with 11 points and three steals.
Monday will be the second time this season that the Hawks and Aggies play each other. North Carolina A&T handed Eastern Shore its worse defeat of the conference season on Jan. 11 as they took the game 91-53 at the Hytche Center.
The Aggies (14-14, 10-3) sit atop the conference standings with two weeks left until the MEAC Tournament. They are the only squad with double digit wins in MEAC play this season. NCAT is led by Kameron Langley as he is the only player in the NCAA with two triple doubles this season.
The contest can be heard on Facebook Live at Eastern Shore Hawks with Will DeBoer on the call. Coverage will begin after the conclusion of the women's game between the two schools.
After Monday's game, Maryland Eastern Shore will come back home to face Delaware State on Saturday (Feb. 29). That game will be homecoming for the Hawks as it will be the second to last home game of the season for The Shore.
