ARLINGTON, Texas — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore won its final Traditional qualifying match at the Prairie View A&M Invitational on Sunday morning earning a No. 3 seed, but suffered two tough losses in Baker play on the way to a fourth-place finish.
The Hawks (63-26, 12-0 MEAC) fell 4-2 to Sam Houston State and then dropped a vicious battle to Vanderbilt 4-3.

Cayla Hicks (Salem, Virginia) finished first overall in individual Traditional average with a 234.17 average over six games.
Junior
Paulina Torres (Ponce Puerto Rico) finished ninth with a 207.0 six-game average.
Senior
Brigitte Jacobs (Freeport, Illinois) was 18
th with a 200.0 average and sophomore
Chloe Skurzynski (Carlisle, Pennsylvania) finished 20
th (198.33) — both over six games.
Eastern Shore will next be in action at the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference No. 2 meet on Feb. 21 in Pensacola, Florida.
