Hawks Face Bears For the Second Time This Season

Eastern Shore Looks For Their Second Straight Win

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team will play the Morgan State University Bears for the second time in three games on Saturday afternoon (Feb. 8).

The Hawks (3-19, 2-5 MEAC) are coming off their first road win of the season last Monday (Feb. 3) against Delaware State. The Shore grabbed a 68-66 win behind a strong second half performance. Senior Gabriel Gyamfi (Brampton, Ontario) had his first double-double as a Hawk with 11 points and 10 rebounds in the contest.

Morgan State is Eastern Shore's first repeat opponent of the season. The Bears won the first matchup 56-50 on Jan. 27 inside the Hytche Center.

The game can be heard on Facebook Live at Eastern Shore Hawks with Will DeBoer on the call. Coverage will begin after the conclusion of the women's game between the two schools.

The Hawks will remain in Baltimore following their game with the Bears to face Coppin State on Monday (Feb. 10).
