Hawks Head to Baltimore for Weekend Tournament

Eastern Shore Faces Morgan State & Manhattan

PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore softball team heads to Baltimore this weekend (March 7-8) to participate in the Morgan State University Tournament.

The Hawks (3-13) are coming off two wins in their midweek doubleheader (March 4) against Saint Peter's. Eastern Shore scored nine runs in the first inning of their 11-3 win in game one and got a walk-off RBI single from Allison Gingrich (Landisburg, Pennsylvania) to win game two 7-6.

Eastern Shore will play a game against Morgan State and Manhattan on both days of the tournament. Their first game of the weekend will be tomorrow (March 7) at 10 a.m. versus Manhattan.

After their games in Baltimore, the team will return to face Norfolk State in a doubleheader on March 12. Game one will begin at 1 p.m.
