PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore went 1-3 on the opening day of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference competition in Glen Burnie, Maryland picking up their lone win against Norfolk State.

The Hawks fell to North Carolina A&T State (1,052-898), Morgan State (1,005-880) and Monmouth (896-819), but picked up a 970-889 win against the Spartans.
