PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — After missing their game on Wednesday (November 17) due to postponement, the University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team will play their first game in six days on Friday (November 19) at Fordham. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. and be broadcast on ESPN+.
The Hawks (1-2) got their first W of the season last Saturday (November 13) against Bryn Athyn on homecoming. The Shore only trailed once when the game was 2-0 before winning by nearly 50 points. Senior Zion Styles finished the contest with a game-high 21 points.
The Shore has shot the ball well in their first three games as the squad is shooting 42.4% from the field. They have also poured in a total of 27 3-pointers so far.
Fordham is 2-1 this season under their first-year head coach Kyle Neptune. Their victories are over Columbia and the University of St. Thomas. Eastern Shore will face Columbia themselves on December 28.
Chuba Ohams had a double-double for Fordham the last time the two teams squared off on December 1, 2019. He is averaging 14 points and 15 rebounds so far in this young season.
Following their game with Fordham, Maryland Eastern Shore will play their next four games away from the Hytche Center. The games will be at Campbell on November 24, Liberty on November 27, Connecticut on November 30 and conclude at Lehigh on December 4.
