PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore volleyball team will take on Coppin State on Friday (November 5) at home and travel to Morgan State on Sunday (November 7). First serve on Friday will be at 6 p.m. and first serve will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
The Hawks (11-11, 6-5 MEAC) are currently fifth in the MEAC standings with three matches remaining on their schedule. Coppin State is one match ahead of the Hawks and are tied for third place with NC Central. Morgan State is 3-8 in MEAC play and tied for sixth with Norfolk State in the standings.
Both matches this weekend will be the second time the team has played against each opponent. In their first matchup with Coppin State, the Hawks fell in straight sets. Sophomore Maya Hendricks had a match-high 11 kills in the first contest.
In the squad's first match with Morgan State, Eastern Shore won in four sets inside the Hytche Center. The squad had a balanced offensive attack as six players had seven kills or more. They got a strong performance in particular from this week's MEAC Defensive Player of the Week, Charlize Williams, as she had seven kills and seven blocks in that match.

After their weekend matches, the Hawks will play their final regular season contest on November 12 against Delaware State at home.
