PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's basketball team will take on their fifth straight road opponent on Saturday (December 4) at 4:30 p.m. when they face the Lehigh University Mountain Hawks.

In their last game on November 30, the Hawks (2-5) fell 72-63 to the Connecticut Huskies, who are the No. 17 team in the country. Senior Mike Mensah and junior Da'Shawn Phillip shared the team lead in points with 12 apiece.

Eastern Shore has been undersized in the majority of their games this season, but has still been able to hold their own on the defensive boards. The Shore is second in the MEAC in defensive rebounding percentage and third in defensive rebounding. 6'5" senior Nathaniel Pollard, Jr. is the tallest player in the team's starting lineup and is the catalyst for the Hawks' work on the glass as he is seventh in the conference in rebounds per game.

Lehigh is 1-7 this season coming into their matchup with Maryland Eastern Shore. They fell to Yale 82-72 on Wednesday (December 1) in a game that they led by eight at halftime.

The Shore has been away from the Hytche Center for almost one month. Their last home game was on November 13 on homecoming when they defeated Bryn Athyn 91-42. Following Saturday's game, the team will have two home games on December 8 & 11 followed by a nine day break before their next contest.
