PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore volleyball team will play their second tournament of the season this weekend (September 3-4) in the Delaware Invitational.

The Hawks (1-2) will face Fordham, NJIT and Delaware during the tournament. The match with Fordham will be Friday (September 3) at 3 p.m. The matches against NJIT and the host Delaware will be on Saturday (September 4) at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. respectively.

Maryland Eastern Shore won their first match of the season last Saturday (August 28) against Manhattan College during the Fairleigh Dickinson Tournament. Senior captain Mauri Carver (Elizabeth City, North Carolina) had a strong tournament at FDU and was named the MEAC Defensive Player of the Week for her play.
