SILVER SPRING, Maryland — The University of Maryland Eastern Shore men's golf team competed in the MEAC Championship this week (April 18-20) and finished in third place in the event that was played at Argyle Country Club.
Howard won the championship with a score of 923 as they had the tournament's medalist Gregory Odom, Jr. Junior Thabang Moephuli earned a spot on the All-Tournament team for his play. He finished fifth with a score of 233 (+20) over three rounds.
Freshman Logan Kiley and sophomore Tyler McDonald also finished in the top 10. Kiley placed sixth after he finished with a 234 by shooting a 78 in each round. McDonald finished in eighth with a score of 236. McDonald shot a 76 in the first and third rounds to have the best score in a round for any Hawks player in the event.
Maryland Eastern Shore will conclude their season in the PGA Works Collegiate Championship in Philadelphia May 2-4.
