PRINCESS ANNE, Maryland — University of Maryland Eastern Shore seniors Brooke Roberts (Port Orange, Florida) and Elizabeth Ross (Schenectady, New York) each earned National Tenpin Coaches Association All-Region honors this week.
It's the second straight honor for Roberts as the NTCA created the award last season. Ross picked up her first NTCA honor in her second season on the lanes for the Hawks. Ross will graduate at the end of the semester with a degree in Aviation Sciences and will begin her career, while Roberts plans to return for another season.
The All-Region teams were the result of voting by participating head coaches. Due to ties, six student-athletes are on the first team.
The Hawks (75-44) will compete in their final event of the season — The United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships — from April 20-23 in Las Vegas Nevada.
