COMMENTS FROM COACH CLEO HILL, JR
Â
"A great shooting performance from our guys tonight. I can't remember the last time one of my teams had 18 three-pointers. While that wasn't our overall goal, it was impressive to see. We also wanted to set the tone in the paint tonight which I thought we did a good job of early. We were able to score 50 points in the paint. Overall, we started the game scoring inside and finished it from the outside."
Â
"I wanted us to come out with a little more intensity and execution on the defensive end tonight. I thought we did a good job of that and we hope it continues as we enter our road trip."
Â
"Ketron (Shaw) is simply a very good player who can defend multiple positions. He is one of our top defensive players. While we have asked him to score a lot, one of his more underrated abilities is his passing. He showed he can do it all tonight and I am proud of him."
Â
"We are looking forward to competing against some top-level competition over these next few games. We think we can turn some heads and show everyone want UMES basketball is all about."
